Jerry Springer is alive and well

About a month ago we went to Thunder over Louisville it was a big air show and a HUGE fire works show after. We went up with our friends Jarom and Kristen and we had quite the day, complete with the air show, the fire works show and last but not least we attended a taping of the Jerry springer show... seriously...stay tuned

The air show was so loud but all the planes were really cool. All the latest Military planes and fighter jets were there as well as some old little planes that were fun to see. Luke's favorite was by far the helicopters I think it was because they were quiet, the fighter jets were soo loud. Can you see the plane that Luke is pointing out???

The coolest part of the day was the fireworks show. It's the largest annual fireworks show in the world and let me tell you it was insane seriously it was crazy. It was a full half hour of the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen. The air show was down by the Ohio river and they had a huge barge on the water that they shot the fireworks off from. I can't describe it but just imagine all the fireworks that you have ever seen in your life going off at the same second and lasting for a half an hour with LOUD music blaring in the background...Crazy but fun, poor Lily just burried her face in my shoulder.

So last but not least The Jerry Springer show. Let me just begin by saying that there were like a half a million people "down by the river" for this shin dig and I have to say that they were probably all Carnies. You know the fair workers who look a little sketchy? well this must have been a huge convention of them cause there were tons of the craziest people I have ever seen. Kristen and I had to fight through the crowds to find a bathroom for her prego body and seriously we were fighting through a mob of gross smelly weird people. We had to walk like a mile away to find something sanitary but anyway it was crowded to say the least.

So when it came time to go home we were stuck in traffic for like 2 hours. While we were parked in our mile of traffic we just sat there watching all the crazy people around us who were also stuck in traffic. Well there was this one car with a bunch of girls in it and there was a man wandering around between the cars well for some reason this offended the car of girls. This prompted one of the girls in the back seat to roll down her window and tell the man that he better git out of there way and she was serious. So he said something back and we watched this go on for a few minutes. Well things were getting more and more heated when I heard the girl yell that he "Better git out of my face" (and yes I said GIT) well the next thing I know she has jumped out of her car and is taking off after the guy (I tried to get my camera out to film all of this but for some reason nobody else in the van thought that was a good idea...wimps) anyway so this crazy chick jumps out to take after this guy and to my surprise she was in a clown car cause like 50 other "chicks" jumped out of the back seat with her. Honestly I can't even describe my complete state of shock and aww at that moment. You see these types of things on tv, you see The Jerry Springer show and you know that these are actual humans on his show but you don't really believe it. How can you believe that there are actually people who behave like that, WELL I am now a witness. I am a witness to the madness and it all happened in a Kentucky accent as well (just a little cherry on the top of the cake really) So this crowd of girls jump out of the car and they are all trying to stop this one "lead" girl from attacking the man in the street. I'm talking grabbing her around the waist as all 4 of her limbs are flailing around. She's cussing and yelling and he's cussing back, her friends are trying to get her back into the car as they cuss and yell at the guy and all the while here we are in our nice little family Mini van with the windows rolled down watching this all. We are all in total histarics but trying to be somewhat quiet so that the clown car doesn't take after us and also trying to grasp the fact that this is actually happening. Eventually the clowns all loaded back into their car and the random man walked away but I am forever changed. The people who are on those types of TV shows really do exist I have witnessed them, and all from the safety of my van with my 2 little kids sleeping soundly in their car seats in the back ahhh the memories.

just stuff

I accidentally posted these pics last night without writing on them. I was going to save it and come back later and finish but when I came back this morning here it was. A boring post, no captions no funny little comments from me just plain pictures. So here is my commentary...
This is Luke's wagon hahah did you catch that??

And here is my little "Handy Manny" when Ramsey's parents helped move us out here Grandpa had all the tools out and he let Luke help him put everything together and ever since then Luke has been a little tool man. But no fake tools for him, he prefers a real screw driver thank you very much.
Just Lily destroying my house...what else is new? Then the ever so cute little mommy feeding a bottle to her baby. That's all just a few little random pictures that hardcore Luke and Lily fans (Grandma and Grandpa's) might appreciate.

Cause were going to the Zoo Zooo Zoo

Since moving to Kentucky we have been on quite a few little adventures. I say that if your going to live a million miles from your family for "X" amount of years you mine as well have fun along the way. We have a list of things we want to do and things we want to see during our time out east like Washington D.C, Disney World, church history just to name a few. And though we haven't made it to any big ones yet we are always up for little adventures, like going to the zoo in Louisville. Our ward at church has a ward Temple trip every month in Louisville so last time we decided to go up early take the kids to the Zoo and then (race, oops) go to the temple. Our kids love love love the zoo and Luke was so excited to go.

Luke woke up that day saying "Wanna go see the monkey's? wanna go see the elephant?, wanna go see the big cats?, wanna..." you get the picture, and he did that ALLLLL morning until we finally made it to the zoo.
Cute little Lily just hangin out. ( I hope that when she grows up and looks at her childhood pictures she doesn't care that every day of her life she was in some form of pink...I love it)

Luke absolutely LOVED the merry go round which only furthered my obsession with going to Disney world. Lily on the other hand was a little freaked out, I think if it was a giant princess she would be ok.
Can you see my behind the rhino Holding onto Lily?? No ok good that was the plan. Anyway a fun day had by all I just wish we were a tad bit closer to the zoo so we could go more often!

That's my girl

Happy Friday

Last night I decided that Lily needed a new TuTu. Ramsey came in and saw me sewing and said "doesn't Lily already have a TuTu" to this I said "Um hello the other one is WHITE"

I think that a little girl can never have too many TuTu's...or hair bows. Just my opinion

Scrubbing and cleaning can wait till tomorrow
for baby's grow up we learn to our sorrow
so settle down cobwebs
and dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep

My mom had this poem on the wall while I was growing up and I always loved it. That is all I really want to say for Mother's day. I am so grateful to have a Mom who lived by this, and I hope that I can always do the same.
I LOVE being a mom more than anything!
I love you Mom
And I love my mother in law. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Where does the time go???

Happy Anniversary !!!

I really can not believe that we have been married for 7 years. My oh my how the time does fly. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were dating. I remember the first time you told me that you LOVED me (and I hid my head under a blanket haha I'm sorry) I remember our trip to Utah that was sooo fun and it pretty much sealed the deal for us. I remember every Saturday you would go to Cardston to the Temple while I worked then you would stop by the Salon, always with a root beer slurpie. I remember coming home from work one day and finding my most favorite green heart pillow sitting on my bed waiting for me. I remember the Quilt you made me for Christmas, I remember you picking me up for our first date in the Cadillac. I remember you wanting to surprise me so you had Angela sneek into my room in the middle of the night and turn on a CD you made me and leave flowers by my bed. I remember when you finally had the ring stashed in your pocket and I knew it was there but had to pretend that I didn't. I remember alot about when we were dating and I LOVED it all. Mostly I Remember May 4th 2002 when we were married. I remember putting highlights in my bridesmaids hair at 10:00 at night the night before the wedding, I remember being so excited I couldn't sleep. I remember after we left the Temple driving home in the caddy (and almost going off the road...OOps) Such a fun Day Such fun times. I love you, and I love our life... Here's to Many Many More
