We heart Grandparents

A few weeks ago Ramsey's parents came out to visit. Were we ever excited. If you know me well(which you probably do or you wouldn't be reading this) you know that I am a big time family girl. Then why you may ask do I live a million miles away from home?? Well that's just where life has taken us for the time being and it's all good but someday we will be closer...anyway. We LOVE LOVE visits from family, especially grandparents.

The first day they were here we headed out to Cincinnati to go to the zoo. Our family is such a zoo family, but our kids love it. So off we went, it is a really good zoo and it was just fun to hang out all together. I always get jealous when I am at the park with my kids and I hear a mom say "go and see grandma" or something like that, so it was fun to be the one who got to say "your being a devil child, go see your Grandpa".

Me,Grandma and the kids took a train ride. I took the picture so you can't really tell that we are on a train, but the kids LOVED it.





All in all it was a FunFUn day. After the Zoo we went to Ramsey's equivalent to Disney land. it was called Jungle Jim's. It was an International food market with absolutely ANYTHING you would ever want. It was as big as a Wal-mart, and the reason I say it was like Disneyland is because I have never seen Rams more excited. If you know Rams you know he LOVES grocery shopping. His eyes were huge, and he had so much fun putting random things in the cart. This place was crazy, it had 1600 different types of Hot Sauce, yah crazy. But unfortunately no pictures, maybe next time...cause there will be a next time!! That was it for the first day, we Love Grandparents!!!

Just in case anyone needs a laugh...ANGELA is at it again. She's a lazy blogger, but when she does, it's always worth it!

The tale of the Sea Turtle

Well here is my cute little Luke boy at his very first swimming lessons... Sea Turtles, That was the name of his class. I arrived the first day along with all the other proud parents, camera in hand anxiously awaiting the beginning of class to start. (I even got there early to warn the little teacher that Luke throws a level 10 hissy fit if you try to get him to wear a life jacket...Just a precaution)


He looked so cute lined up with all the other kids splashing their feet in the water. I was so proud, my little baby (who I swear I just gave birth to ) was taking the plunge, Literally. He seemed to do well. Over the next month every Monday and every Wednesday there we were lined up ready to go. My little Sea Turtle seemed like a natural. He kicked, he made his hands into ice cream scoops just like the teacher told him to. He even kicked and scooped at the same time, yah I was proud. Well then it happened "Graduation Day" if you will the class was over, time to move onto bigger and better things (like Pike class). The class ended, the little teacher handed him a pack of M&M's and a certificate. We went into the change room and then it happened, I read the card... "Luke is doing great and is progressing well. I encourage Seaturtles one more time before going onto Pike!!" You heard me He Flunked, he Flunked Seaturtles. I came hope and shared the news with Rams then we silently ate dinner. Had our dreams of raising the next Michael Phelps been crushed?? Had we done something wrong? No I say, we will keep right on trying. Luke will make it to "Pike" HE WILL!!!
So this week we have started our second round of Seaturtles and I must say that Luke is looking extremely advanced. What can I say, we don't give up on our kids!



We love you Luke and you can still have ice cream, even if you flunk your beginner swim class!
