Who know's the secret??

Does anyone know the Secret to getting both of your kids to look at the camera at the same time?? If you do please enlighten me. I try and I try to get a cute pic of these two little kiddies together but I can never quite get it. One of them either looks away or walks away right as I snap it. I honestly don't have a picture where both of them are looking cute (you know frame worthy) smiling and looking at the camera.

A day in the life

I have had such a busy week. I did alot of hair, I got my hair done (super blond why not right it's spring) I did my visiting teaching, and some how managed to get some laundry done. Really just a regular type week but it felt busy. I also felt like I was neglecting Mr. Luke and Little miss Lily so I decided that today I would just have a fun little day with my kids. Well Luke woke up begging to go to the Library ( I know I sound like a good mom but I'm not gonna lie I pick out the books, all he cares about is getting a blues clues movie) so I thought ok let's get an early start. So we had breakfast got ready and were out the door a little after 9 (haha you can laugh but that's early for us) we went to the library and then we were headed to my wards play group. I have made a goal to try to be more involved in ward things but I swear something always happens and I never make it. Anyway off we go to play group, well smart little me...do you think I have a clue where play group is??? no I don't. Waveland park...huh...I had seen a sign a few days earlier that said something about waveland so I thought I was smart and knew where it was but no I clearly didn't have a clue. So needless to say we did not make it to play group (besides I'm still remembering the last play group I showed up to and was the only one there...yah seriously) so anyway while I was weaving around unknown streets trying to find an unknown park I came across a goodwill. I am always looking for a dresser that I can spruce up for Lily's room so we went in. Usually the only thing I leave goodwill with is an odd sort of smell stuck to my clothes but not today...Today I left with this little JEM


I just thought it was the cutest little thing, and it was only 5 bucks. It's totally old and sturdy and I can just picture it in a little school room. When I was little I loved playing school. I remember when Emily went to school I would play school all the time with Paul. It was easy, He was like 2 or 3 years old so I always got to be the teacher. Can't you just see Luke sitting there with a desk full of Notebooks. Now I just need to find the perfect little chair. And I am debating whether or not I should leave it or if I should jazz it up and paint it some funky way hmmmm.

PS. I also totally ditched my poor visiting teacher who came by this morning...what can I say I'm a Bridge!

Mike, Shan and Fam were here to celebrate the big 29 with us and what was on the menu you may ask?? Angel food cake, PLAIN Angel food cake that's all he wanted, no delicious whipped cream and strawberries for Ramsey... just a big ol piece of dry cake. So being the good wife that I am I drove myself to Wally world and got him his very own cake (I got topping for the rest of us) So I hope you had a good B-day. (next year I really hope that I don't have to slave all day over your dessert again)

It's just so Angela!!

Ok so for any of you who know my little sis Angela you will know that she is one of my most favorite people in the entire world. She is PURE fun!! loud crazy and (let's face it Ang) Blonde. In February she decided to up and move to Australia!!! She is living with Max and Mel for the time being but she is working to save up money and Travel. She is so adventurous and I have to admit I am a little jealous of her free spirit.
Soooo she spent the first few weeks of her adventure laying on the beach and enjoying the "Tourist" life style of Australia well now she has settled down and started working. Now if any of you want to laugh and laugh HARD I invite you to go to my friends list and click on Angela (I made her start a blog before she went) the story of her first job is sooo hilarious I cried when she called and told me about it and then I cried again when I read about it on her blog. Seriously that kid get's herself into the funniest situations I swear she could write a book called "the life of Angela" and it would sell!! Anyway if you know Ang (or even if you don't and just need a laugh) Read it!!! I love you Ang and I still can't believe that you chose to go to Australia rather than coming here to Kentucky...Seriously what the heck!

Tu Tu - CuTe

Is there anything cuter than a little girl in her TU-TU??? I can't think of anything

This little miss Lily brings me her tu-tu almost everyday and is perfectly happy to trot around the house wearing it all day. It is so fun to see the difference between boys and girls. If Luke see's a baby doll he throws is, if Lily see's the same doll she picks it up and rock's it. I am Lucky if I can get Luke dressed once a day in what I want him to wear where as Lily would love to change her clothes 19 times a day and will let me dress her up in anything I want! I know she will probably start to want to pick her own clothes eventually but for now we are having fun with the dress ups.




And this picture is just because I am all to obsessed with sleeping kids. And yes I do occasionally put my kids in their beds but it's just so cute when they crash on the couch...don't you agree??

can anyone help me??

I am going through a blog identity crisis as of late. I have tried on like 10 hundred different backgrounds lately and I just can't find one that looks like me, I'm weird I know. So finally I decided I just wanted the plain old white background with a cute header but my blog is POSSESSED!!! I got rid of my Java script so I assumed that would get rid of "the cutest blog on the block" jazz but no no no as soon as I deleted it my background went back to this ugly background that I used once the very first time I used "cutest blog" I havn't seen this background in months and then it just popped up. So even when I put my blog on minima and got rid of the java script this old background from months ago just magically poppes up. HELP ME, I have asked a few of my friends but nobody knows what to do. And since I am the absolute WORST person with computers (making this blog is like climbing everest for me) I would so so so love some help.
Come on you computer nerds give me a hand

Na Na Na...

Luke really loves the song "Hey Jude" (what can I say look who is dad is) he knows most of the words and sings them quite often. Well the other day I was in the kitchen and I overheard him singing the chorus a little bit differently than usual. When it came time for the "na na na , na na na na part he replaced it with "Naaaaa na na-Crackers and Cheese!! I guess he was trying to tell me something, he could have just asked for a snack.
I just crave this kid!!!

We Heart Sophie

Mike and Shannon went on a week long CES retreat so they decided to fly my little sis Sophie out to their house in Ontario to babysit. Well when I heard about it I packed up my kids and decided that 8 hours alone in a car was nothing if we got to see our Sophie!!! So we went to Ontario and crashed the party. The drive there was kind of crazy cause there was so much construction in Detroit that I kind of got lost (and seriously who wants to get lost in Detroit, scary) but we made it through and the drive home was a breeze.
