Looking out my front door

So we happen to be plopped right square in the middle of a Kentucky ICE STORM!!! I have heard about them since we moved here but had yet to see more than a few scattered snow falls. Well this morning I looked out my front window and saw this.

These pictures really don't do it justice but these trees are just thick with ice.

This picture really is looking out my front door and no there is not usually a tree in our front walk. That huge tree branch is usually in front of my bedroom window upstairs. I hope the poor thing doesn't break off, but I know it's close. Ramsey couldn't even park in the garage today because it is blocked with a huge branch that did break off! I was watching the news and I guess a lot of people are without power and they are having to sleep in high school gym's and stuff. I feel kinda guilty, I've been curled up next to a nice cozy fire all evening. Anyway I'm a Canadian girl so snow doesn't scare me but this ice is kinda crazy!

I'm a little behind...

On Laundry...
My poor kids...no clothes on their backs. Poor little Luke had to resort to wearing a pair of Lily's 12 month jeans. Could I start a new trend?? Boy capri's...Anyone? Ok he's cute but maybe not that cute. He is pretty cute all naked sitting in Lily's high chair though.

Does anyone else ever have these days? Messy house, unbathed kids, unbathed you, Un vaccumed floors...
But a whole lot of jumping on the bed!!

I do and i love it! not everyday, but occasionally I think it's good for you to have a play day... And your kids will love it

I Really Really Love...

Sleeping Babies!!

I honestly just love when babies (and yes my kids are still babies!) are just absolutely dead asleep, they look so peaceful. I also love when they wake up and they are all groggy and sweaty...Am I weird?

She's still a baby!

As much as I don't want to admit it my baby has turned one! I seriously can't believe it. This past year has gone by so fast I honestly feel like I just had her. She was such an Angel baby and now she is pure fun! Ramsey calls her Angela because he says that she acts exactly like Ang. No offense Ang but it's usually because she is slightly Crazy! She tries so hard to keep up with Luke, She loves to follow him upstairs and when I call after them she seriously can't move her feet fast enough or squeal loud enough to show her excitement, she loves it when I catch them. Her favorite past time these days is playing in the toilet (gross I know) the real low point was when I caught her dipping a q-tip in the toilet and then sucking on it. I hate to admit it but I think she got the q-tip out of the garbage ahhhhhh. I always get a little bit overly sentimental when I realize that I can't just get in my car and come home for a visit but Kentucky is beautiful and we would love visitors hint hint g-ma and g-pa's.
We were at Mike and Shannon's house for her b-day so that was fun. Kind of uneventful because let's face it she had no clue but at least she got to shove icing in her face! (she really didn't like it)

This picture she was about 5 months old! such a cutie

Christmas Ontario Style

One thing that this move has taught me is that Heavenly father knows each of us and he helps us out when we need it. We have recently moved way to far away from home to Lexington Kentucky , and at about the same time my brother Mike and his wife Shannon moved their family way to far away from home to Delaware Ontario. Well what do ya know Delaware happens to be just 8 hours away from Lexington!! It is seriously such a relief to have some family so close (when your this far from home 8 hours seems like 8 minutes) so what I am getting at is that we went to Ontario for CHRISTMAS! We missed everyone at home, but we had such a fun time together! (warning picture overload, but neither of our parents got to be with us so this is for them)

These are pictures of Christmas eve. We went to a party at Mike and Shannon's friends house and it was so much fun. The kids made and decorated cookies for Santa and what do you know the big man himself showed up! Note that in this picture all the kids are jumping up and down excited to see Santa and then there was Luke... perfectly happy sitting in the middle of the floor drawing in his notebook. He could not have cared less that Santa was there, so funny.

Lily finally warmed up to him, and Chelsea just loved sitting on his lap!

Christmas morning lined up ready to go see if Santa came!

These were some spoiled kids, the basement looked like it had exploded. Eventually Luke liked his presents but for the first hour he was just happy that he got like 5 notebooks in his stalking. He wouldn't even look at anything else he just wanted his notebooks.

Lily was so stinkin cute pushing her baby in her stroller she would also sit and feed it a bottle...so cute.

Fun little cousins! Jacob loved Lily he would follow her around all day saying baby baby baby, and Chelsea, Hali and Clair were such good little babysitters. I would hear Clair talking to Lily saying "It's ok your mother won't leave you she'll be right back" or to Luke she would say "It's ok buddy your not in trouble you just need to say sorry" or other times I would hear "LUKE...He is not allowed in my room ever again" it ws so funny. We seriously had such a nice relaxing time, we stayed up way to late ate waay to much and were way to unproductive...Ahhh a perfect Christmas!!

A Very White Christmas!

In Kentucky if it snows 2 inches all the schools close and there are weather and storm warnings everywhere!!! It is so funny to me cause hello Canadian winters, we are used to it. So it was fun to be at Mike and Shannon's house in Ontario because there was no shortage of snow!

We had fun playing in the snow! and while Jacob was doing nose dives into a snow bank Luke was having fun shoveling the walks, I tell you he is the funniest kid.

It wasn't all that cold out so Mike dressed accordingly haha It may also be because he was shoveling for like 2 hours!

Oh such cute cousins!
Well we were glad to have some fun in the snow while we were there cause we came home to Jacket weather. We'll have to see if it last's though I hear January can get quite cold here...we'll see.
