It's my pArTy

http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI/223/255/PreviewComp/SuperStock_255-3185B.jpgWell friends it's true, I am officially the big 27. I don't feel any older nor do I feel any wiser but here it is all the same April 30th another year has gone by. It's funny but 27 hasn't phased me at all, last year I was kind of freaking out to turn 26 but I think that it was because I got a mini van the same week. Something about turning 26 and getting a van hit me weird. But 27 I'm good with, cause to tell you the truth I have not felt any older since about my 17th birthday (Lindsay tried for like the 5th year in a row to have a surprise party for me but she totally gave it away...I think we went out to Earls instead). Sure I got married and sure I've had a couple of kids but other than those few "mature" things I feel pretty much the same, I am still just me.
ANYWAY I have decided that all I want for my B-day i
s a comment. You heard me I want a comment from YOU. I always wonder if anyone ever sneeks a peek at my blog but never makes themselves known. Ramsey is always telling me that I need to go private and I always say that I'm going to but I just haven't done it yet. Then I realized that I like to look at other people's blogs and I wonder if anyone likes to sneek a peek at mine. So at the risk of sounding like a total dork. I'm the birthday girl and I want a comment!

ps. I already got an amazing present from Ramsey this morning. He FORGOT!!! I am so happy! As a kid I always prayed that everyone would forget my birthday and I could be a martyr. I dreamed of moping around the house and people saying "what's wrong with you?" and I could say (ever so quietly) "oh nothing" and then when they finally remembered I would get double spoiled out of guilt. Sadly (or I should say not so sadly) my Mom always came through and I have no child hood memories of my family forgetting my BIG day. I do however remember my eighth b-day when my mom told me I could have 8 friends sleep over. Was I ever excited, that is until I couldn't find 8 friends to come. I started with my coolest friends then went down the list until I think I was calling random aquaintences to come to my bash. Finally I think we ended up having a few of Emily's friends come to fill in the gaps. Man was
I ever cool, but in my defence I think it was Easter holidays. ANYWAYS I am soooo going to milk it when Ramsey get's home tonight. Or maybe I'll just silently suffer so he feels extra bad once he remembers...haven't decided. Oh well either way it should be fun!!

Lovely-Lovely

I just LOVE friday's, I don't really know why it's just like any other day of the week really but today I especially loved friday when the weather is so Lovely. And when we discover a new park to play at complete with a little cottage for the kids!

Lily would love for someone to come have a tea party in her new little house, and period clothing IS necessary.

For real I saw this lady sweeping the walks dressed like this. (it is an old manor house that you can tour)

Then back to our house for a little ice cream

And you can oooh and ahhh over my new chair that after a little tender loving care by yours truly, looks like this...

But used to look like this.
Moral of the story...don't stick your nose up at a stinky chair (with a bum mark worn into the cushion) that you see out of the corner of your eye at good will. It may turn out to be your new best friend. That and take time to enjoy the SUNSHINE with your cute kids, or with whoever.

The End...

Spring has Sprung

Happy Easter!!
From the Kentucky Edwards

Ramsey was thrilled when I made him wait after church to get a picture on the lawn. I tried to get a picture before church but we were lucky to get there on time, and I knew if I waited till we got home it would never happen. So I was the cheezy mom who had the camera at church but whatever. The lawn looks nice and that's what matters.

And I have to say that Lily's Easter dress makes me nothing but happy, I swear I would have her wear it everyday if I could. She was such a little princess.

Too busy checking out their loot to look up for a picture. And the perks of only having small kids is that they can get like 4 candies in their basket and they think it's great. Cause let's face it, if the Easter bunny would have brought a ton of treats I wouldn't want them to eat it all and then who do you think would end up eating extra jelly beans??? Yours truly. Anyway they were happy and they Loved making the bunny cake.

My Mom made a bunny cake every year so I do to. Luke would put one jelly bean on the cake then eat one ect ect. It was very kid friendly and I wasn't too worried about how it turned out. I hope you all had a good Easter weekend!!

It seemed Harmless

Last week we had a lovely afternoon in the park. The kids got to play on the biggest castle playground that I have ever seen ,which they LOVED, they also got to feed the DUCKS. They had so much fun with them, I had a big bag of bread and at first Luke would just throw a full slice at them, so I had to teach him to break it up. The best part was when he was done with the bread he brought me a big handful of crust's. Apparently since he doesn't like the crust he figured the duck's wouldn't either!

Oh what a fun little afternoon...Running and

Chasing after the ducks...

Well you may be wondering How and Why my little mr Luke ended up Naked????

No no pee was involved, but there was a whole lot of MUD

Luke followed some of the other kids down onto the bank to get closer to the ducks and I saw him from the corner of my eye ... but to late! Into the mud he went and he was STUCK and I mean stuck. So like any good mom I got out my camera and started to film, I was trying to coax him out but to no avail. Finally this Lady (who had been watching the whole thing) said "uh do you want me to hold your baby so that you can go and get him??" yah yah I was getting to that it's not like I was going to leave him there. There was time for a little camera action I mean Hellooo he's not going anywhere. So I couldn't ask the lady to film me rescuing him so you'll just have to imagine me sliding around in duck poop smellimg mud. When I pulled him out he came right out of his shoes, they were seriously buried. As soon as we got out he stripped down to his nothings and I decided it was time to go home!! and sorry I'm so lame and I filmed him sideways, I have to remember that for next time. Anyway have a laugh on me!!!

Introducing Little Mr. Henry

Well here is the little man himself. I don't know about any of you but I just want to eat those cheeks! I could absolutely DIE how badly I wish I was in Boise right now, but for now at least we get these pics. My mom is staying with Em and Tom for the entire month of April so that is awesome!

Here is Emily the proud Mama with her little guy (yaaay she get's to hold him) And she says that when things calm down a bit that she is going to start her own blog but until then I get these cute pics on my blog instead. ( I have been reading your comments to her and she loves them)

The Doc's just did some tests on Henry's brain and it looks like for the time being he does not have Hydrasephalus (no idea how to spell that??) but basically it means "water on the brain" which is a very common thing for him to get and they say it can still happen in the first 3 months. But for now if nothing changes he will get to go home on Wednesday!!! So we will hope and pray for the best! Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

Logan, Jameson and Layla are also soo excited to meet their new little brother. They have been showing the kids pics of Henry and in one of them his hair was all spiked up because of all the cords and whatnot that have been attached to him. Well Tom said that Jay came down the stairs today with his hair all spiked up and said "Look Dad I look like Henry"

Be a Mary

As I have been thinking about General Conference this week I found myself getting super excited. I love Conference, I am always excited to hear what words of wisdom I am going to recieve or what little "Jems" I can use in my day to day life. I was also excited to find out who the new apostle was going to be? I am so bad but right now all I can remember is something Anderson, we will meet him tomorrow. So anyway I got up this morning all ready to be spiritually fed (well not really morning, now that we are on Eastern time the first session was at noon but regardless) I turned it on early to listen the a little Mo-Tab and sat down to listen.... This is when the problem started.
I would snuggle up on the couch and be ready to go and then I would get up and go check on something, then on my way back I had to start the dishwasher, then someone needs some food, someone needs a diaper, the phone rings ect ect ect
Ahhh I am missing my spiritual feeding!!!

And then it hit me WHO CARES who cares what my house looks like who cares if we need food (ok toss your kids a cracker or 2) who cares if the kids are dressed...Whatever!

I need to listen to Conference, I need to hear the words of the Prophet and his Apostles. Sure I would prefer my house to be clean and I would prefer that we have some yummy goodies to keep us focussed while we listen but if it didn't get done before it starts... Drop It

So I stopped caring I parked my butt down on the couch and LISTENED. I am in no way saying I am perfect but I just think that there are sometimes it's good to be a Mary instead of a Martha.
When the Savior came to visit them Mary sat at his feet and "feasted" while Martha (bless her, best of intentions) cooked and cleaned, and may have missed out on some well deserved "her" time as well as some spiritual upliftment. I imagine Mary's house being neat but somewhat "lived in"... that sounds about right. I know Saturday is hard but my goal is to have a Sunday filled with listening to the Prophet and receiving some much needed inspiration!

Happy Conference !!!

And let's be real I am also so glad that it comes out in print next month for those ones that just get away from us.

ps. go to lds.org to watch

Well he actually had his surgery today not yesterday so I was waiting to post once I had some news, and yaaay it all went well! Emily would only talk to me for about 5 seconds cause she was going to see him but she said it went well. So on behalf of Emily and Tom Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. This particular hurdle is crossed but there is still a long road so keep those prayers coming I know that they work!!
I am also trying to get some pics to put up but we will have to be patient grrrr
Thanks again

Baby Henry

I just had to write a quick post to let you all know that Emily had her baby this morning at 5:30. His name is Henry Timothy Perry, for those of you who know Em already know that this is a very special baby. Henry has Spina Bifida and has to have surgery today on his spine. I believe in the power of prayer and I just wanted to ask you all to remember The Perry family (especially Henry) in your prayers today. Emily and Tom have been through alot emotionally since they found out about Henry's condition and now that he is born they are going through another wave of emotion. Every mom needs to hold their baby after they are born but not all of them get to. Emily told me that she got to touch his face and that he looked Like Logan and Jameson, his legs were also moving so that is good but there is still alot of unknown. Then he was wisked off to the NICU and she hasn't got to see him again. I am so proud of Em and Tom and the perspective they have had through all of this, I can't imagine anything harder to go through. I was talking to Emily Yesterday and we were talking about a miracle that could happen and she said "yah I am always hopeful but right now I just feel like Henry is a Miracle, Just the fact that he is a fighter and that he is going to be a part of our family."

I'm sorry if this is all scatter brained but I can hardly see the key board through my tears. I'll update more later but for now just please remember mi sis in your prayers. We all love Em and she really needs it!
