Go CATS!!!

We are now a Wild Cat family!

Luke saw these onesies for Simon and there was no way we were getting out of the store without them.  Luke's was just looking out for his little bro.

We got football season tickets so here is Ramsey and Luke on their way to the first football game of the year.  The team actually kind of sucks (this is a basketball town)  bus super fun for the kids to go to the huge stadium not to mention a date with Dad
Rams said that Lily was the most fun to take cause she had pom poms and she was cheering and dancing.  They take turns going while I stay home with the little guy, I'll have to go next year.

The first couple of years living here everyone would be talking about the basketball team and all into it (this place is crazy for their cats)  And I refused to be a fan.  I figured that until that school did something for me I didn't care if they won or lost.  However this school has now done a lot for me (us) like oh I don't know providing us with a secure future and granting Ramsey his dream of being a Dentist soooo yah now you could say we are super fans
GO CATS

Just Pics

Just a mash up of pics...I think I've found my blogging style SWEET

In the summer We went on a train ride on this old old train through Scenic Kentucky and during the ride there were actors who came around acting out a train robbery it even ended up with the train stopping next to a field because it had been hijacked.  Out in the field was a real civil war re-enactment.  They had fake guns that smoked when they shot them and everything.  My kids thought it was great and Rams and I thought it was oh so Kentucky!!! Love it

No explanation needed I think my kids are cute when they sleep

And I think Ramsey is super hot in a bike helmet!  They spent all summer on this bike.  He would take them out for hours and they would sometimes go like 20+ miles.  They LOVED it.  (need to find a pic of Luke on it)

Nothing better...Baby bliss

Cute brothers

Lily and her best friend Ivy (isn't that cute like they are a little garden)  I could do a whole post on them, so cute.

Lily dressed like a princess in her fort giving the stink eye...priceless

She seriously thinks she is so funny and will rarely pose normally

Sweet little Si spends a major portion of his life being loved on by Lily girl. Loved on, squished, mauled whatever she loves him and her baby talk is the funniest thing you have ever heard.

If there is anyone who reads this little old blog anymore don't bother reading this...no really this is just a post of me telling myself that I am going to start blogging again.  Every day my kids say funny things and I don't write anything down or I have hundreds of pictures that have no home other than on my memory card so here I go I am going to blog again...no not right now but soon...soon I say!

Simon was blessed on July  3rd 2011 Tates Creek ward

He wore Luke's blessing outfit!

We were lucky enough to have Russ and Rhonda come for a week to meet the little guy, we crammed so much fun into that week but that will have to be another post. Happy blessing day Simon

Baby bliss

Just be warned that the following pics may cause severe Baby Fever...you have been warned
These are pics of Simon's first couple of weeks and as I look at these they already seem like forever ago.  That time where you just stay home and nurse and cuddle goes by way to fast,  I miss it already.  So here is a bunch of pics of my sweet Baby Simon... and one of Ramsey in a Davey Crocket hat, enjoy.

Luke insisted that I add this picture, sweet.

Somewhat late but here's my baby!

                                 Simon Bridge Edwards
                                    June 18th 1:26 pm
                                8lbs 6 oz 21inches long
                                        Pure Heaven

I cannot even describe how in heaven we are with our new little Simon.  From the moment I laid eyes on him I have been in Love he is the best sweetest most amazing baby and I have loved every second with him.  He has brought so much joy into our family. We love you Simon! It was worth being pregnant if it meant that we got you, and that my dear is saying something!

First bath in the hospital

Proud big brother and big sister.  When my Mom brought up Luke and Lily they were so sweet and so excited.  They just kept on saying "oh he is so cute he is so cute"  and Luke kept making comments about all of his body parts. "oh look he has an elbow, oh look he has fingers, look at his toes"  And then when we took off his hat he exclaimed (quite loudly and excitedly) "OH Look he has a HEAD"  yup good thing Luke.  And yes we got it on video!

We were so happy to have my amazing Mom here for 3 weeks, she was so much help and I was so glad that she got to share all of this with us.

Ramsey catching the kids first time meeting Simon on film.

And Tired dad after 3 nights in the hospital on the sorriest excuse of a chair/couch/bed from H-LL.  I felt bad for making him stay but I could hardly walk and I needed him.  After a few trips to the Chiropractor  he was good as new.

I think this pic was after Luke said "Look he has a head" hahahah it was the funniest thing ever

A note about delivery-
5 days after Simon's due date  when I found out that I was still dilated to about a 1 my doctor and I decided that I should be induced.  I didn't really want to be induced but by that point it was either going to check into the maternity ward or the psych ward so I figured that I made the right decision.  So we went in on Friday night and they started me on something to soften my cervix and by 8 in the morning I was still a one and his head was way up there so I pretty much figured that I would be there for a week and that my baby hated me.  So they did some other thing (To many details are not important)  we'll just say it got things moving and finally by 10:30 or 11:00 my Doc broke my water.

Luckily I got my epidural right before that cause once they broke my water things started moving. By around 1:00 Ramsey was starving and wanted to go and find some food I said it was ok for him to go but then I panicked and said no you better stay.  He was trying to talk me into letting him leave when I really started to panic, it was TIME.  I was seriously freaking out, neither Ramsey or felt ready for any of this but when you get that urge to push there is nothing in the world that can stop you.  It came on so fast for me that my Doctor wasn't even there.  I just started pushing and they were all saying "stop don't push" and I said why  then the nurse was all "well do you want your Dr. here or do you want me to deliver your baby?" SO I looked around and saw another Lady who they had told me was a resident so I looked at her and said "Aren't you a Dr?" she said yes so I started pushing.
A minute later my Doctor came in.  It was about at this time (between pushes) that out of the corner of my eye I saw these 2 men standing in the door way.  One of them was my anesthesiologist (he was younger than me...so weird)  but I did nor recognize the other guy and they were just standing there.  What is this some sort of a show????  SO I said to one of the nurses "What are those guys doing here they are just standing there, can they NOT just stand there, I want them to leave"  So she walked over shut the curtain and they were gone haha. I later found out that the other guy was a nurse coming to help to which I say then come and help and don't just stand there hahaha. Ramsey jokes that I kicked all the guys out!  Anyway I really don't remember how long I pushed but it was not very long, in fact it was so quick that they said here feel this and when I reached down to feel I said "What is it?" they all said "It's a head" oh my goodness a couple more pushes and there he was!  All pink and perfect!
I forgot to mention the funniest part of the entire thing and that was my dear sweet Ramsey, he could not handle this delivery.  While I was pushing I was pulling on his arm really hard but when I looked over I realized that his head was in my pillow whatever keep pushing but once it was over and they asked him if he wanted to cut the cord I looked at him and he was solid green.  He had to sit down and no he didn't cut the cord.  He says that when I yelled "I don't want to do this" mid push it really put him in a funk and he couldn't really handle the rest, he says he's to old for this. Anyway it was really funny and I plan on teasing him about it forever.

So all in all it went well and even though I can honestly say that I was the most miserable fool whoever lived for about the last 2 months (who am I kidding I was a beast for 9 months)  I would do it again, that is how much I love my little Simon!
The End
