Catch up

In March we celebrated Ramsey's 31st birthday.  Every year all he wants is an angel food cake or an ice cream cake.  This year I decided to try a homemade angel food cake and it turned out great,  Ramz doesn't like toppings (weird I know)  but Luke was insistent that we needed to decorate Daddy's cake so we decorated the edges with army men and zoo animals.  Happy Birthday Ramsey!

Random Pic of Luke and his play dough creations

Blanket forts always a hit

This was actually really funny because Lily wanted Luke to have a tea party with him but she said he had to dress up.  So we ended up with a blue had and some sort of blue fur wrapped around his waist...nice

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I am lucky that on Ramsey's way to work he said be sure to wear green today or you'll get pinched!  The kids thought that was weird seen as I hadn't mentioned the Irish holiday and they didn't know what it was.  We rallied and they both wore green that day and I stopped at the store bought pre made cookie dough and we made St. Patrick's day cookies.  My kids didn't know that I forgot right?

I don't remember what happened January or February but on December 29th Lily Girl turned 3!!!!

This little girl is just pure fun.  Her actual birthday was spent at Mike and Shannon's house over the Christmas break but when we got home we had a little butterfly birthday party for her.

Lily is so much fun in our house, she is as girly as you can get but then she will play guns with Luke's friends longer than he will.  She never and I mean never stops talking.  She sings songs (some real some jibberish)  reads books (she can't really read)  and asks questions all day long.  And you can't just give her some random explanation to things cause she remembers what you say and if it doesn't make sense she will figure it out.  Watching a new movie with her is hilarious cause the first time she watches it she asks questions about every second of the movie.  "Mom why does Rapunzel have such long hair" "Oh I know cause then she can catch things and swing on them"  (she answers her own questions most of the time)  "Mom Bert is so funny" "Why is he up on the ceiling? Oh cause he laughs a lot and him and that crazy guy are stuck up there"  She regularly sings "Cast off the shackles of yesterday...our daughters daughters will adore us"  So yah she likes Mary Poppins.  She also loves Harry Potter with Dobby cause he's crazy.

She never stops at home and is anything but shy but you put her in primary and she is a mute.  Her teachers tell me that they got her to say a couple of words...sometimes.  It is so funny cause on the way home from Church she tells me everything that happens and she sings all the primary songs but for some reason while she is there she will not participate at all.  Oh well what can ya do.

Lily is just Sweet and Sassy and I have to say that it is so fun to have a daughter especially one that is so much fun.  We love our Lily girl and it is actually good that she is not going to be the youngest in our family cause she may be a bit spoiled.  Ramsey has no defenses when it comes to Lily and can pretty much get her Dad to do anything.

One of her favorite things to do is to do hair (I wonder why)  and when I got a new blow dryer that came with a mini "Real" blow dryer she was thrilled.  Suddenly her little battery powered princess blow dryer just wasn't cutting it and she loves the real one.  She sits in the hall with a spray bottle, mouse, brush and whatever else and blow dries her dolls hair as she sits and talks to them.  " Oh this looks so great, jabber jabber jabber I know I was like jabber jabber jabber hold still, turn your head"  Anyway mix in her raspy voice and the fact that she is my own and it's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

She's really into posing

Proud Luke was a master decorator
We set up our tree even though we were not here for Christmas just because why not, I Love Christmas!

Lily being helpful in the kitchen as usual

Grandma Rhonda sent Lily this Christmas dress and she was so excited to wear it to the ward Christmas party.  She called it her "Party Dress"   She had another Christmas dress that I got her but I think that the only pics of her in it are on my lost camera...tear

Christmas Morning  at Mike and Shannon's house in Ontario.  It was so fun to spend Christmas with cousins.  It was also quite nice to have Shannon and the girls take care of us.  I was just coming off of 3 months of hideous first trimester pregnancy and honestly I just need a break from my house and a brake from everything and it was SO FUN.

Lily wanted a Baby with a suie (a soother/binky)

And cute little Luke, all he wanted was Buddy and Tiny from dinosaur train.  How lucky for Santa...done and done.

Not a lot of Christmas morning pics but there was also a lot of fun Cousin Time!

Gotta love Great Grandma Bridges home made choke cherry syrup, yum

Clair is magic and could entertain these 3 kids for hours...they loved it.

Please be careful Ramz

This was how we celebrated Lily's real birthday.  A day playing at the gym and a good old Tim Hortons doughnut.  She thought this was great and loved picking out her own doughnut covered in sprinkles!  Good ol Tim's.

Chelsea, Clair, Hali, Luke, Lily and Jacob...cute cousins

Lot's of fun in the snow when you spend Christmas in Canada!

And Randomly here is Luke at his Pre-School Thanksgiving program.  Cutest little Indian I've ever seen
                                                      Happy Thanksgiving!

Announcement

We are having another Boy!
I thought this from the start but Ramsey had me pretty convinced it was a girl.  But all I can say is that I just need to trust myself that the only time in life I will crave a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger  from Wendy's EVERY single day of my first trimester is when I am preggers with a boy.  It happened with Luke and it happened this time, sometimes at midnight (thanks Ramsey)

When we went to find out what the little dear was we left with disappointed kids because they thought that they were going to meet the new baby that day
.  Also Lily has asked me everyday since then if the baby is coming out today.
      We are so excited!!

And ps.  we cannot think of a name, Ramsey keeps on saying Sven or Wayne...

Behind...And some good news

I am behind...
I'm behind on cleaning, I'm behind on showering, I'm behind on Christmas everything, I'm behind on being a friend, I'm behind on laundry so is it really a surprise to anyone that I'm behind on blogging??  The only thing that I'm not behind on is my behind, it keeps growing I swore this pregnancy would be different but alas I can watch my behind growing so at least I'm not behind in one aspect of my life, my pregnancy is rolling right along thus the list of other things that I'm behind on.  Am I making any sense? At least I'm not as sick anymore but I honestly feel like the last 2 months were a blurrrrrrr what it's Christmas already?   So back to my lack of blogging issues I feel bad because I really do have a lot to blog about.  Did you know that back in September Sophie came and lived with us for a month and a half?  Well she did and it was a dream come true I have always wanted her to come and stay yet no mention of it on the old blog.
Blogging is a weird thing because it's almost like "If it's not on the BLOG it didn't happen"  which I know is stupid but I think of this as a journal of sorts so anyway Sophie came and stayed then I got pregnant then it all sort of became a blurrrr.  Then December 1st happened and the greatest thing of our married life happened (minus of course the birth of our little dears of course)  Ramsey got into Dental School!!!!!  We have been married for 81/2 years and ever since day one this has been the goal.  I still remember the day we packed up the Yota and moved to Oregon and I bawled the entire first night cause I thought that the town was too dark and they didn't have enough street lights...Anyway all a very good story.  The other day our friend asked me if I was going to blog about our entire story and I figured I would just for me to go back and read some day.  But as I have mentioned I AM BEHIND....  So right now I can't really muster up the energy to tell a long tale but I will say that we are sooooo HAPPY!!!!!  I am so proud of my man named Ramsey because let me tell you the man's got guts, and he's stubborn.  He just never gave up on his dream of being a Dentist and even though it has not been the easiest road or the shortest and none of our plans really worked out the way that we had planned in our little minds they still worked.  I know one thing and that is that the Lord knows us each individually, he absolutely knows what we need and when we need it and even in we don't want things to happen a certain way I know that if we trust in him we will look back and see his wisdom and guidance.  I am so proud of Ramsey and so grateful for him.  I am grateful for my heavenly father and I am grateful for my family.  So even though I am behind on the surface things (no seriously my house is a wreck)  I am feeling very blessed in the things that matter.  And that is what matters right?

I would love to be all caught up on my blogging but my blog my rules so if I write about September in January that will be just fine with me and if I suddenly get the urge tomorrow that will be great but until then
have a very       MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

And a post without a pic is lame so here is a picture of Lily girl baking.  Is this giving you the impression that we did tons of Christmas baking?  Good just go ahead and think that, think that we made tons of Christmas goodies and delivered them to friends instead of the truth that we have not made one dang thing and we are hoping our friends will still be our friends without getting any cookies!

Attention Auntie Di

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
we're all totally still in the halloween spirit right guys??
I'm not lame or anything, I just haven't felt like blogging, I've had better things to do lately like puking my guts out! Fun huh???? But anyway my Mom has ever so kindly asked me for pictures of the kids in their costumes ohhh about 500 times so mom here ya go...enjoy!

Luke was none other than sheriff woody and he wouldn't wear the yellow shirt I had for him so he just looks like a cowboy but whatever he was cute. And Lily was a poodle skirt girl for lack of a better name but man was she ever cute. I really didn't get good pictures this year we were really rushed and you con't even see the poodle on her skirt. Maybe I'll muster up some energy and dress them up again to take better pictures...hahahhaha that was a good one hahahah yah right. But she was pretty stinkin cute in her cat eye glasses and she loved them, she didn't take then off once!

This was the night before the Trunk or Treat when we went trick or treating and Lily had found this frog costume that Luke had worn when he was one and she insisted on wearing it even though it was wayyy too small, oh well it was warm and she loved being a froggy!

Luke boy at pre school
All in all a fun Halloween! Maybe I'll catch up on the rest of fall now, Luke played Soccer and I almost ran a half Marathon :( I sprained my ankle about a week and 1/2 before the race and between that and all the nausea I just couldn't do it. I was sooooo sad because I trained for 3 months and this was no small feat for me, it was a big deal. But my girls did it without me and they did awesome I'll do it next time. It's just a little different to say "I ran a half Marathon" than "I could have ran a half Marathon" it just doesn't have the same effect does it. Oh well I'm working on a more important project...one that takes nine months and one that I am Ohhh so excited about coming June 2011...

Police men and good parenting

Today Lily threw a level 10 flailing and screaming hissy fit. She would not stay in time out so I took those flailing limbs of hers and proceeded to dump them into her crib. When she had calmed down I went to get her out and talk to her about it...

Me: Lily we do not scream and yell like that, can you say sorry?

Lily: Sorry I scream and yell Mommy

Me: What happens when we scream and yell like that?

Lily: The police man will come and take me away

not exactly the answer I was looking for, but nice to know that I'm a good mom and I've trained my child to be scared of police! Whenever Luke won't buckle up in his car seat I tell him that the police will get really mad and give us a ticket if he doesn't do it. Apparently lily has been listening hahaha Poor girl.
